Navigator Vs OriginUpdated a month ago
Navigator:
The Navigator is engineered as a true adaptive mid-layer, weighing just 12 ounces. It is built to perform from early to late season. It excels in variable weather and high-output conditions thanks to its 112 gsm quick-drying fleece. The 30-denier polyester face adds durability, allowing it to be worn as a standalone outer layer in mild conditions or layered under heavier insulation when temperatures drop.
Origin:
The Origin is 100% polyester midweight, making it ideal for moderate temperatures. If you tend to run cold, this piece will help keep you comfortably warm. While it’s durable, it isn’t designed to handle a wide range of conditions, as the 227-gram knit fleece is less breathable compared to the Navigator.
Why I chose the Navigator:
Every time I step out the door, the Navigator comes with me, no exception. From elk in the high country to bear in thick timber, from cold mornings in the duck blind to long days fishing on the water, this hoodie doesn’t sit on the bench. It is either on my back or in my pack. The Navigator is built for the grind, breathable enough to crush miles without overheating, but warm enough to lock in heat when you stop to glass. The kangaroo pocket is also perfect for stashing a water bottle within arm's reach. This isn’t just a hoodie for me; it’s part of my system to set me up for a successful season time and time again.
